Port Hills Fire Recount
For the past couple of weeks we have been writing a recount of the port hills fire so here I will be showing you me recount!

It was one normal school day and me and my friends were on our way to class , it was lunch time back then but the bell rang... So when we got inside me and Siyona were waiting for Jorja so we can sit back at our desk , right after we were going to sit down Jorja ran to us in a panic mode for some reason!? She told me to come outside , after I went outside I saw Emily and Jas standing next to each other they told me to turn around and I was shocked!
My eyes were wide and I was also shaking a bit… I decided to go closer to it but it was time for class. So we all went back inside. It has been a few hours later and I’m still a little shaken of the fire , I thought to myself “I wonder is Ayush and my mum okay even is my dad okay”!
The bell rang and it was time to go home , I figured if I tell mum and dad about the fire would they be shocked or did they already know?
I thought to myself “I hope no one got hurt in the fire”. I was horrified and really confused of how the fire happened!? But when we watched the news it told everything about the fire out the first fire isn't solved yet , I et everyone is really worried ad freaking out of what happened but I am glad it is over!

Wow, what a great piece of writing, I really enjoyed the emotion I could feel in your voice. It would be great to go back through your writing and look for some places you could put "WOW" words in. How did you find out about the fires on the Port Hills?
